If you have sensitive skin, you certainly know Avène. For decades, the French skin care brand has been the preferred alternative for people with sensitive skin worldwide. The Avène products are extensively dermatologically tested and have proven their effectiveness with millions of fans.
Standing out in a jungle of products
Avène products are mainly available at pharmacies. Also for the youngest, Avène has many products in its portfolio. Pierre Fabre Cosmetics, the parent company of Avène, asked us to develop a promotional item that would boost sales of the sun protection products for children.
The result was a cute plush octopus that could be turned inside out. On each tentacle was an icon symbolizing a precautionary measure to prevent sunburn among children. In this way we made it easy for both parents and kids to protect themselves from the sun.
Kick And Rush designed and produced the mascot from scratsch while respecting Avène's branding and target audience. The campaign supported by the plush octopus proved a hit and also a very effective way to boost sales. Moreover, brands are increasingly forced to come up with ways to attract the customer's attention in stores.
