Bracelets for the Cancer Foundation

The Cancer Foundation wanted to sell a branded item that would help raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

Merch for a cause.

Real problems require action, and action requires awareness. You may have heard about The Cancer Foundation, and their efforts to fight the silent killer. However, the Foundation also advocates for other salient health concerns that may lead to cancer.

In 2016, the Cancer Foundation launched the Mineral Tour concept in collaboration with VAD/De Druglijn in order to raise awareness about alcohol consumption and its effect on health.

The Cancer Foundation wanted to sell a branded item that would help raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

For this undeniably important cause, the Foundation needed a bracelet that would, on one hand, be ecofriendly, but most importantly, it would raise awareness about cancer risk in their consumers and wearers.

There is absolutely no doubt that Kick And Rush is committed to reducing its carbon footprint, and, consequently, that of its clients and partnerships. The challenge wasn’t about making the bracelets eco-friendly, it was about making them impactful.

A gift with an impact.

And thus the ‘Gift for a Change’ bracelets were born. What made these bracelets truly unique is that they were designed and made by people with disabilities, all the while being made from ethically sourced European wood, cotton, and linen.

Yet we still needed to take the ‘Gift for a Change’ to the next level. Each bracelet featured a QR code that took users directly to the Cancer Foundation’s website.

Once online, the wearers could log into the Digital Tour community and find all key information about the Foundation’s initiative.

All in one, each bracelet raised money and taught people about the risks of cancer.

It comes down to this: Kick And Rush took something as ‘simple’ as a bracelet and turned into a tool for awareness and change.
